Attacks by Israeli settlers across the occupied West Bank have surged to 63 percent during the first seven months of this year as compared to the same period in 2025, according to the Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission.  The commission recorded 4,113 attacks between January till July. During the same period in 2025, 2,524 attacks were recorded, showing an increase of 1,589 incidents. The surge comes amid sweeping expansion of illegal settlements in the occupied territory alongside the arming of settlers, who often operate under the protection of Israeli forces.  It estimated the number of settlers living in the occupied territories, including East Jerusalem, at around 780,000 as of the end of July.
